A letter from our President:

Welcome to HealthConnections International. We hope this will the beginning of a positive life-changing experience for you. The opportunity to live and work in another country and in another culture brings with it new opportunities, new friends, and the ability to view the world just a little bit differently than you do now. I have spent over 27 years in health care recruiting both domestically and internationally. I started Health Connections in 1996 as the first American company dedicated to giving American health care professionals the opportunity to live and work outside the US in another culture apart from military bases or volunteer organizations.  

Since we started, we have placed OTs, SLPs, PTs, Social Workers, and Audiologists in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and New Zealand. We have looked for countries that speak English and have jobs available. Many other countries meet one or the other criteria but not both. It is important that they have both.  We now are pleased to announce new opportunities in Ireland for Clinical Psychologists. 

HealthConnections takes a very personal approach in getting you to where you want to go. The safety, location, and working environment are extremely important to us and we make every effort to ensure a rewarding experience for professionals going to work abroad especially if it is for the first time. I have kept the company small so we can give you the personal attention not often found in larger agencies. This does not limit your opportunities but enables us to find the best match. We try to support you as much as possible by giving you the means to network with other Americans in the country you go to, follow up phone calls every few months, in person visits to your facility when you get there and every couple of months I host a networking luncheon in London or Dublin for all therapists working in the UK and in Ireland. This has been very helpful to those who have just arrived and for those who have been there awhile and appreciate an American accent. Our toll-free number from the UK or collect calls from other countries makes it convenient so you can call at any time and for any reason.
